When employers create an account or post jobs, we may collect information including your name, email address, company name, website and job listing details.

If you sign in using Google, we may receive basic account information such as your name and email address from your Google account. Job seekers can browse the platform without creating an account.

2. Payment Processing

We use trusted third-party payment processors to handle all transactions securely. When you make a purchase on SemaHire, you provide your payment information directly to our payment partner.

• Our payment processor's use of your personal information is governed by their own privacy policy.
• SemaHire and Fatebound Labs only receive confirmation of the transaction and basic billing details needed to issue your job credits.
• We do not see, process, or store your full credit card number or CVV code.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to create and manage user accounts, display job listings, allow employers and applicants to connect and maintain platform security.

4. Job Applications

SemaHire does not process job applications. Applications are submitted directly to employers via company websites or provided email addresses. Any information shared with employers during the application process is governed by the employer's own privacy practices.

5. Email Communication

We may send essential emails related to your account, such as verification, password resets and important notifications. These emails are required to operate the platform securely.

6. Cookies

SemaHire uses essential cookies to support authentication and platform functionality. These are necessary for features such as secure login. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Storage

Account and platform data are stored using services provided by Supabase, which securely manages authentication and database infrastructure.

8. Account Deactivation & Data Retention

Users may deactivate their account at any time from their account settings.
Upon deactivation:

• Your personal information (name, email) is immediately anonymized and cannot be traced back to you.

• Job postings are retained for business and legal purposes but are no longer associated with your identity.

• All account data is permanently deleted from our systems after 90 days.

We retain anonymized business records to comply with legal obligations and maintain platform integrity. Active accounts are retained as long as they remain in use.

9. Your Rights

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use of SemaHire after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
